Most people don’t take the time to really notice if their friends are suicidal. No one wants to deal with it because they don’t know how. I speak from experience. Even my own mother pretends the attempt never happened. What is even sadder is that there is a new diagnosis that probably could help many of us that struggle. It is called Narcissistic Victim Syndrome. After being in and out of counseling for 28 years and never getting any better, I felt like a lost cause. Then I found this website http://narcissisticbehavior.net/narcissistic-victim-syndrome-what-the-heck-is-that/ and suddenly I didn’t feel hopeless. Now someone understands. I will definitely follow your blog because I need positive women in my life.
Oh. This is so informative but most of all I can feel your heart in it. 🙂
GREAT. Keep up your important work.
Thank you Jeanne for reading. I am glad to bring awareness and have a platform to do so.
Thank you and I am glad my heart for people was evident.
Daphne, thank you for your honesty. We all have something that we just cannot face due to our human limitations. In my training and experience when dealing with someone that is suicidal we are not to sugarcoat it or ignore it, we must bluntly ask “are you suicidal?” I am so glad you never gave up and I will read the article you posted to learn more about the Narcissistic Victim Syndrome. I am looking forward to more dialogue with you on this important topic.
You’re so welcome! 😀
