My First Blogging Award-The Sunshine Blogger Award
There are some things that will just mean more to us than others. Some of those things that mean the most to us will have no monetary value. They will just make us feel really, really good. The Sunshine Blogger Award is one of those things. I started blogging exactly 18 days ago and a fellow blogger, David host of the blog My Place recognized our blog for being positive and inspirational. Can you say tears! This is exactly what I set out to do.
I know there is a lot of negative news we have to share to fight against injustice, but this very news tears at our souls, our well beings, our confidence. So I set out to share positive news, news that will lead to positive change, news that includes solutions or just news that brings a smile to our faces. So I thank God for the idea and I will continue sharing and making a difference as long as I am able and invite other writers to join me. Blogging is so fulfilling when you do it for a purpose.

My Answers To The Questions I Was Asked When Nominated:
- If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
My one wish would be to have an abundance of money. Don’t write me off yet, why do I need an abundance of money? Well so I can create all the TV show ideas that I have and buy the building that I want to buy to host the events that I plan. Money is necessary and without it sometimes dreams die, but I believe that God gave me the dreams and he will finance them.
- Why did you choose that wish?
There needs to be a lot more diversity on TV. There is nothing more powerful than seeing positive images on the big screen that look like you and came from a similar background. Seeing these images help the young and old have the confidence to pursue their dreams.
For example, an armless pilot meets a little girl who is also armless; how do you think meeting this pilot transformed the little girl’s life?
Also, having the money to buy a building will allow me to host many more events. Event planners know the struggle having to rent space. Spaces are often overpriced and not available on the dates needed.
- Would that wish benefit you or would it benefit others as well?
The wish of the having the money to produce programming on TV that reflect the diversity of our world and a owning a building to host community events would definitely benefit others. As stated above, we as people need to see others that look like us to gain inspiration to move forward with our goals. An owning space affords me the opportunity to host parenting and business networking meetings, author fairs and expos. These are all events I have planned and hosted for our community in the past and had to find free or low cost facilities to rent. All of the events that I host provide an opportunity for financial growth and stability for our community.
